At last night's Red Wings game, Dennis Guyot and Dan Crawford worked the For'Em Club Booth and sold $434.00 in raffle tickets !!! That is the first time that the booth has had raffle ticket sales over $400.00. (We believe the previous record was around $340.00) Considering how bad the play was on the ice and that more than 70% the arena left after the second period, this is truly a testament of what can be done. Thanks to Char, Jim and Lorraine for helping push the amount over $400.00. Great Job Dennis & Dan ! |

‘Tis the Season to be Jolly, Fa La La La La La La La La!’ Here’s hoping that the For’Em Club members and their families had a wonderful Holiday Season and that 2009 brings health and happiness to us all . . . (another Stanley Cup would be nice too!). Yesterday I went to Turning Point to present them with a check from the Club for $1,000.00, along with another check for $25.00, and Gift Cards totaling over $200.00. They were so appreciative for the generosity of the For’Em Club. It is such a good feeling to know that such generous members, even when times are tough, still reached out to the victims at Turning Point so that their Holiday would be a little better. They are currently trying to raise funds to purchase a larger shelter. A special Thank You to Vicki Frosinos and Debbie Padgett for running the Tin Can Raffle to help raise the money that was donated to Turning Point. You, the members of the For’Em Club, make my job as Charity Chairperson very easy and extremely rewarding! Thank You. Happy New Year to all! |
