Our Host City is one of the most exciting cities in the world, a city that doesn’t sleep. (Sounds like Saturday Night at Convention.) From the many casinos on the strip to some of the most beautiful mountain vistas in America, the area offers you 24 hours of fun and adventure. World-class entertainment is everywhere in this vast playground of fun and enjoyment.
Las Vegas means “The Meadows” in Spanish. It was founded in 1905 and incorporated March 16, 1911. The city covers 131.2 square miles and is one of the fastest growing areas in the US. The weather in August will be hot, so plan for the heat and you will be fine.
Convention InfoYour registration fee covers your hotel for Friday and Saturday night, dinner on Friday and Saturday and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning, the Annual Meeting on Saturday morning, your arrival goodwill package and use of the hospitality suites during posted hours.
Any pre-convention trips include transportation (where indicated), admission fees if applicable, meals where noted, and driver gratuities. All trips are filled by reservation only on a first come basis. We cannot guarantee refunds on pre-convention trips unless we can find a replacement. If not, any refund would be based on what is recoverable from the places we are going to. Any bus cost will be passed on to the person who did not attend the trip. All trips will leave at the posted times, and if you miss the bus, you miss the bus. We cannot hold up everyone else if you are late. If there are any increases due to rising fuel costs, we reserve the right to charge any additional amount required to cover those costs.
Your ID badges must be worn at all times while attending an NHLBCC function. This includes visits to the hospitality rooms during posted hours. Passes will be issued for all activities, and they must be submitted for admission to activities.
